Native to South American, Gymnocalycium mihanovichii variegata are also known as the Chin Cactus, popular for it’s round shape, deep ridges, and hard, uniform spines, almost resembling a pin-cushion! Like most cacti, it stores lots of water in its fleshy base, so is pretty tolerant of neglect. This more uncommon variety of Gymnocalycium is variegated with a stunning colourway of black with splashes of yellow, orange, and red - a fantastic ornamental plant! This cactus comes in its own curved black pot with a drip tray.

🌞 This plant is happiest in bright light.

💧 Although cacti are drought tolerant, for maximum growth, it’s best to water approximately every 3 weeks during the growing season, and hardly at all during winter. When watering, be sure to give the soil a good soaking. Allow any excess water soil to drain, and for the soil to dry out between watering.

🛋️ Ideal for a living room windowsill or a conservatory space.

🐾 Generally non-toxic to pets. However, because of their spikes, it’s best to keep this plant away from curious furry friends!
