CARING FOR CACTI & SUCCULENTS
Cacti and succulents can be some of the best houseplants for new plant parents, as they are usually low maintenance.
These plants store water in their leaves and stems, and are used to bright sunlight. Try your best to recreate their natural habitat by placing on a windowsill, but outside of direct sun.
A bright windowsill is the best place for these plants, but keep an eye out for any sunburning or yellowing! If your cacti needs more light, it will start to bend towards the sun, and will become bleached in colour..
In summer months, water once weekly, but let soil dry thoroughly before watering again. It is better to under- water than to over-water, as your plants will shrivel. Rain water is preferable!
To help our cacti or succulent to flower, try to mimic their natural growing season - a period of rest (the dry season), then followed by more water will help flowers to bloom!
Dust can accumulate between the leaves and spikes - use a soft brush or duster to gently remove any debris.
