Aspidistra Eliator
Aspidistra Eliator
Aspidistras are a great addition to any home, being a true plant-collector classic! These plants were super popular in Victorian England due to their elegant foliage and tolerance of general neglect. They were granted the nickname of the ‘Cast Iron Plant’ because of their ability to withstand fumes from gas lighting, draughty conditions and low light - making this a perfect plant for those of us who are a little brown thumbed or just want to fill a shady corner with some greenery.
🌞 They prefer indirect to low light - making them ideal for north-facing windows or a spot away from the window.
💧 These lovelies are drought-tolerant, and dislike soggy soil - so no worries if you miss a watering! To keep them happiest, water about every 2 weeks, allowing the soil to dry up before re-watering.
🧼 Their lovely big leaves are prone to catching dust - so give them a good wipe-down every now and again.
🐾 Non-toxic and suitable for pet owners!
