Lepismium Bolivianum Hanging
Lepismium Bolivianum Hanging
Also known as Rhipsalis Boliviana, this plant is a tropical forest cactus that originates from, you guessed it, Bolivia! It has flat green leaves which trail, with ridged, toothed margins. This houseplant makes a fab piece for a East or West facing window or for bringing tropical vibes to a nicely lit room. When in bloom, this plant produces small white, bell-shaped flowers on the areoles.
🌞 This plant prefers bright indirect light, although it can also be kept in morning or evening sun. Avoid bright midday sun - jungle cacti dislike harsh light!
💧 As a tropical cactus, it requires more water than it's desert counterparts; water every 10-14 days, allowing the top few inches of the soil to dry before watering again. A dry Rhipsalis will go a little wrinkly - but don’t worry, it should bounce back upon watering.
🌫 Jungle epiphytes enjoy higher humidity, too! This plant will enjoy a spot in a bathroom, or to be situated close to other plants, mimicking it’s natural environment!
🐾 This beauty is non-toxic and suitable for pet-owners!
