Nepenthes are known as the ‘Monkey Jar’ or Pitcher Plant, and they’re a super funky-looking type of carnivorous plant. They grow in Southeast Asia - in particular, on the islands of Borneo, Sumatra and the Philippines, from the tropical swamps to the mountainous forests. They have some unusual pitchers which hang from the body of the plant and collect water. This Pitcher Plant is in a hanging pot.
