Alocasia 'Frydek'

£12.50

This unusual plant is a stunner! Alocasia are known as ‘Elephant Ear’ plants due to the unusual, arrow shape of their foliage. The Alocasia Frydek has lovely velvety deep emerald green leaves with prominent white-cream veining and serrated edges. Its wonderfully exotic looking foliage grants it a really striking look which compliments any interior style.

🌞 Bright, indirect light is ideal. This plant will also enjoy a bit of morning or evening sun or dappled light, too!

💧 Water approximately once every 10 days, ensuring the soil drains well, and that most of the soil dries out before watering again. Although Alocasia are native to the tropics, they dislike being sat in moist soil.

🌫 Native to the forests of Borneo, the Alocasia is a lover of humidity - making it a great bathroom plant! Their long leaves often catch water droplets underneath, making them look like they’re weeping.

🌡️ The plant can go dormant in winter - reduce watering accordingly, using warm water to ensure the bulb it grows from stays protected. This will help it sprout new growth in the spring!

🚫 This plant is toxic to cats and dogs - keep away from pets.

📏 Pot diameter: 12cm Height: 25cm
