Staghorn Fern

£8.50

The Staghorn Fern, or Platycerium bifurcatumm, has spectacular, antler-shaped foliage which makes a fantastic statement piece! In the wild, staghorn ferns grow on tree trunks for nutrients and are native to eastern Australia. Very popular in the plant community, Staghorn ferns can be mounted on wooden boards with moss to further show off their horn-like shape!

🌞 Native to the tropics, this plant enjoys bright but indirect light. Give it a deep watering weekly, and in winter use warm water and let the top of the soil dry out a little between waterings.

💧 Staghorn ferns absorb water through their fronds as well as their roots, so bottom watering is recommended for this plant, allowing the top 2 inches of soil to dry out between waterings.

🌫 These plants enjoy high humidity and too much dry air can cause the frond tips to brown, so they appreciate misting.

🌡These plants enjoy warm temperatures and should be kept above 18°C

🐾 This fern is non-toxic and is therefore pet-friendly!

📏 Small pot size 12cm Height 40cm
