Zamioculcas Zamifolia
The ZZ Plant - or Zamioculcas Zamiifolia - is also known as the Zanzibar Gem. Native to Eastern Africa, this lovely plant rewards you with a tonne of glossy, lush foliage on its thick, tall stems, without much effort on your part. A truly low-maintenance plant, this plant won’t mind lower light situations, infrequent watering or staying pretty rootbound in its pot. It’s also air-purifying - capable of removing volatile pollutants from the air in your home, like those found in smoke and household chemicals.

🌞 Despite being from a pretty sunny continent, this plant doesn’t like direct sun. It grows well under low light conditions, but bright indirect is optimal.
💧This plant has rhizomes, which help it store water under the soil - making it pretty drought-tolerant! Let it dry out thoroughly between waterings, watering about every two to three weeks during the summer months, and less so in winter.
🧼 Wipe down the leaves to keep the plant flourishing!
